* [N00B] Need a dvb device in udev

Hi all

I've been thinking about making udev handle the device nodes in my 
newest computer, but I'd like udev to create the following devices 
before I switch to it:
dvb
`-- adapter0
     |-- demux0
     |-- dvr0
     `-- net0

Should I complain about this on the linux-tv mailing list? When can I 
expect to see udev create these nodes?

There are couple of more devices in /dev which are not created in /udev 
but I don't know if I need these:

gpmctl

initctl

nvidia0

nvidiactl

pts
`-- 0

tts
|-- 0
|-- 1
|-- 2
|-- 3
|-- 4
|-- 5
|-- 6
`-- 7

vc
|-- 0
|-- 1
|-- 10
|-- 11
|-- 12
|-- 13
|-- 14

Do I need the nvidia* files? I'm using their IA32 driver version 1.0-5336.

That would be great, but you need to add sysfs support to the dvb
drivers before udev can handle them.  That's a kernel issue.

When the kernel code creates sysfs /sys/class/ entries.

They are FIFOs created by gpm and init, udev does not need to care about
these.

Yes, they are (even if the kernel appears to be reporting many more
ports than the real number... this has been reported by multiple users).

these aren't handled by udev, just mount devpts on /dev/pts and you will
be fine.
