But this did bring a point of discussion, is there going to be a mechanism
to check the permissions versus the permissions file anytime in the future.

I don't really see what that would help out with.
Hm, I guess it could help in writing a better permissions file, right? :)
It shouldn't be that hard to knock something up, if it's really
needed...
