What is this for?  I'm not supporting the rest of the *64() functions, 
or rather, they're implicit as if you compiled with 
-D_FILE_OFFSET_BITSd on glibc; adding just one (and as a define, too!) 
is ugly.

Sorry, this was just a quickfix to compile one of the udev "extras" utilities... a grep will show 
which one and maybe the app should be fixed...

Probably; after all you presumably are compiling with 
-D_FILE_OFFSET_BITSd anyway, right?
