What I was trying to say is to create a gui that supports the same functionalities that drslot_chrp_pci provides. It doesn't necessarily mean that the gui needs to do "isolate", "config-connector" ... platfom specific stuff. If we can move some functions of drslot_chrp_pci into the kernel, It would be possible to create a generic php tool that would work on pSeries and all other arches. At this point, I don't think that is the case, because the src of drslot_chrp_pci isn't open src yet.
