Hi All,
	I have just installed FC3 on a P4 shuttle
A clean install of everything!

I did the following
Do not know if it is important ?
Installed VMware-workstation-4.5.2-8848.i386.rpm
and followed release notes
########################################################################
You must upgrade the kernel modules and configuration using the unofficial
vmware-any-any-* toolkit available from:
http://platan.vc.cvut.cz/ftp/pub/vmware/

#

After vmware-config.pl is run and the VMware modules are loaded, the following
command creates the /sys/class/* nodes needed for udev:

cp -rp /dev/vm* /etc/udev/devices/
#######################################################################
Vmware runs well with old Redhat Virtual machines
######################################################################
yum install mplayer from dag
work "perfectly"
#######################################################################
Then saw Redhat info re udev
Updated udev rpm from udev-039-8.FC3.i386.rpm to
udev-039-10.FC3.1.i386.rpm
######################################################################
Then tried to use camera sticks and memory sticks on USB

It seemed to work the first and/or second time
then the usb/scsi/hald/informatiocentre-SCSI/informationcentre-usb
all locked up.
No processes would die with kill -9
Rest of the machine was still working well
Only way to release the scsi/usb is a reboot !!!!
####################################################################
Removed the new udev rpm and replaced with original
still the same problem
Found the errors in /var/log/messages attached
and obviously the email address

I have been watching the FC3 list but no real reference to the problem
I have down loaded the latest tar udev-044.tar.gz

1. Should I install it ?
2. Is it really udev or something else ?

Hope you can help !!!!

Regards John
