ok - I just upgraded my server from FC2 to FC3 and I'm having a LOT of
trouble with udev. What's happening is - /dev/null and may other devices
are all coming up with permissions of 600 making /dev/null not
accessable exceot by root.
I do have a custom kernel - the fedora kernel has problems - and - it's
doing the same thing as my custom kernel.
I compiled it with devfs off and hptplug on.
I upgraded from FC2 to FC3 usinh YUM.
Also - except for root - screen doesn't work - again it's the permissions.
So - what am I doing wrong?
Thanks in advance.

Are you sure you upgraded everything? And you are using the FC3 version
of udev?
Oh, and what's the problems that you are having with the fedora kernel?
I'd suggest getting that to work first, before building your own kernel.
thanks,
