(I saw the answer appear during the pantomime interval using my trusty P900) I realise you are right and that UB does not support all that usb-storage did, I'm pleased to find that udev works with usb-storage too. I'm happy to look further but beg you point me in the right direction. I had earlier removed the ub.ko kernal module so it couldn't be loaded, is this the right thing to do to cause usb-storage to be used instead?
