I reputable study about top-posting and mid-posting or
point-inserted-posting (or PIP) has shown that mid-posting to be the
most understandable solution with smaller email responses or queries and
answers to queries, comments etc. However when large complicated email
letters gets formed by a vast amount of response, especially when more
than one source replies, the mid-posting technique becomes unclear,
confusing and cluttered. It also becomes difficult to merge all response
into one letter. So to conclude in a one-liner-answer-to-question kind
of response, mid-posting is better, but in a letter type response
top-posting is the better option.
Cheers
Jan
