Subject: Network device renaming not working, help requested
Date: Tue, 22 Feb 2005 22:50:41 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <421BB741.3000704@kuiki.net> (raw)
Syslog reports this:
Feb 22 16:44:44 yuumi udev[6274]: configured rule in
'/etc/udev/rules.d/network.rules[17]' applied, 'eth0' becomes 'wired'
line 17 in that config file reads this:
KERNEL="eth*", SYSFS{address}="00:08:74:3a:1e:ee", NAME="wired"
Does anyone out there have any ideas on this problem? I'm getting this
same problem with the pcmcia wireless nic on this machine as well.
Thanks,
Jonathan Steinert
