I plugged in a Western Digital 80G External USB Hard Drive and got this
polite message in my /var/log/messages:

So, it is my pleasure to submit report as per request.
There is no apparent model number on the product package. The drive was
purchased 20 May 2005.
Here is details of the linux I am running
This is an upgraded RedHat Fedora Core 3. The kernel is regular FC3
upgraded kernel with 16M stack.
output from uname:

Update udev with the available package and this message will go away.
