Hi
My task is to automount mmc/sd cards in a sysfs enabled 2.6.12
(sd-patched) embedded environment.
Do you think it is a good idea to take hotplug-ng and add a module for
the mmc driver which mounts the device after the possible modprobe?
Or is there an other/better way to do this.

hotplug-ng is dead, use udev.

As an example of mounting/umounting a flash drive, there's a sample udev
entry and a sample script to mount and unmount at
