Hello,
I recently bought a new keyboard(Logitech UltraX). It's connected to the pc
through USB. It seems to work fine, untill hotplugging gets activated(before
that I can type things in the console). When hotplugging is activated, it
simply stops working.
When I plug it in later, it also doesn't work. What I get from the kernel,
when I plug my keyboard in:
-- Begin Output --
hub.c: new USB device 00:10.2-2, assigned address 2
input: USB HID v1.10 Keyboard [Logitech HID compliant keyboard] on usb4:2.0
usb_control/bulk_msg: timeout
usb.c: registered new driver usbkbd
usbkbd.c: :USB HID Boot Protocol keyboard drive
-- End Output --
The modules I load to use my keyboard: hid & keybdev
I use the 2.4.31 linux kernel, abd my distrobution is GNU/Linux Slackware
10.2
I gues this is a bug in hotplugging, so most probably i'm going to return my
keyboard.

Please, try my new slackware udev/sysfs/pcmciautils/etc packages.

Hope it can solve your problems.
udev in slackware 10.2 is very outdated. The instructions in the
page will be (i hope) sufficient to you do the migration.
