OK, reviewing the udev ChangeLog doesn't seem to tell me what I need...
at which revision of udev did the use of '=' for comparison in rules
(and '=' for assignment explicitly) arrive? I'm trying to make sure our
custom rules get installed properly, and if '=' isn't going to work
with udev that is only 10-20 versions behind (like FC3, for example)
then we'll need two sets of rules...
