Subject: Finding keyboards and mice and other devices
Date: Wed, 21 Jan 2009 14:53:54 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <49773702.7020902@seiner.com> (raw)
This is probably not a udev questin, but I hope someone can direct to a
better place....
I am trying to scan the system to find all of the mice, keyboards, dvd
drives, etc connected via usb.
I need to enumerate all of the devices connected to any USB hub by
type. I can find devices in /sys but I don't know what they are....
Ideally I need a script that will tell me
2-4:1.0 keyboard
2-4:2.0 mouse
2-4:3.0 dvd player
Is there any way I can pull this from sysfs? Or set it up via udev?
Thanks,
--Yan
