You should at least have a /dev/console node. A /dev/null node usually comes in handy too. If you're interrested in building a system from scratch you may want to look at LFS (Linux From Scratch: http://www.linuxfromscratch.org/). Their testing branch uses udev for device creation. You may find valuable information over there. Keep in mind that it might contain LFS specific information. ------------------------------------------------------- This SF.Net email is sponsored by: Sybase ASE Linux Express Edition - download now for FREE LinuxWorld Reader's Choice Award Winner for best database on Linux. http://ads.osdn.com/?ad_idU88&alloc_id065&op=click _______________________________________________ Linux-hotplug-devel mailing list http://linux-hotplug.sourceforge.net Linux-hotplug-devel@lists.sourceforge.net https://lists.sourceforge.net/lists/listinfo/linux-hotplug-devel
