The problem is that i have an ieee1394 cardbus card using ohci1394 driver.
This pcmcia driver is not supported since 2.4.8 kernel.

So, can I deactivate all the PCMCIA management, cardmgr and all the config files,
and use hotplug instead.

Now I use PCMCIA drivers for:
-floppy (floppy_cs)
-Network ("xirc2ps_cs or pcnet_cs)
-SCSI (aha152x_cs)
-IDE disk (ide-cs)
-firewire (ohci1394_cb)

No. There is no hotplug support for 16-bit PCMCIA cards.

You can use a hot plug PCI driver for your firewire card. That's all.

Dave-
You mean that there is not current support, right?
And not that it couldn't be done?
