Hi,
Is there a way to use this function “usb_string(..)
from a user space application without having a kernel
mode driver/equivalent.
I basically need to read the SerialNumber string of my
Usb device. I am using libusb to get iSerialNumber
(index). I am looking for some way to uniquely
connect to a device when there are more than one
device of same Product Id and Vendor Id exits on the
system , they may be plugged/unplugged and re
enumerate as new devices. I am writing a user space
driver based on libusb. Any suggestion /help is
appreciated.
Thanks,
Thiru
