Hi,

I'm not a linux expert here and I know these questions
may be simple to you ....
The latest hotplug package says it supports 2.4.*
kernel, will it work in 2.5.* too?

The hotplug packages works any architecture right?
(intel and arm) There's no need to compile the
package separately for ARM platform?

Thanks,
joyce

Yes. You may get some messages about bad hotplug
calls, ignore them for now (it's more like "new"
hotplug calls, which are ignored).

It's shell scripts unless you're using things like
"fxload" for some kind of device firmware. At least
the OpenZaurus distro seems to include hotplug, so
it's at work inside that ARM-based PDA ... :)
