Hi,
I've been using Redhat 7.3 for months, with hotplug, gpilod, and
Evolution. Hotsyncing has been quite reliable - put the PDA in the
cradle, press the button, it works.
I've been trying to switch to Debian Woody (current stable), and haven't
been able to get this to work.
I've appended from /var/log/messages below, but the line that stands out
is:
Dec 20 10:50:37 ganesha /etc/hotplug/usb.agent: missing kernel or user
mode driver visor
lsmod reports the module is indeed loaded at the time.
I recompiled the kernel (2.4.18) and the module and receive the same
message and result. I press the hotsync button, the sequence shown
below occurs in /var/log/messages, and no hotsync occurs. It times out
and the Visor errors.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance,
Bret
Here is a section of my /var/log/messages:
