VC in sysfs

I tried the patch from this list for making VC's appear in sysfs/udev11.
Something doesn't work right with that patch. About one in three times when I
boot my display locks. I think I see a flash of an OOPs printing before it
happens. It is definitely timing related because two out of three times I boot ok.

Why are the VC jobs stuck and not finishing up?

I don't know, they shouldn't be.  Can you do a SysRq-T and see where
those tasks are hung at?

Andrew Morton is haveing some very strange oopses with the vc sysfs
patch, so you might want to stay away from it for now until it gets
resolved properly.
