Devices on the ACPI bus need to have drivers loaded for them.

(For those that aren't familiar with it, one of ACPI's purposes is to
replace PNPBIOS. So the ACPI driver has a list of hardware IDs that, if a
mechanism existed to do so, it could load the appropriate drivers for.)

On a laptop undock, some of these would go away, and would need to be
unloaded too.

If you would like me to expand further I am willing to. ;-)

Regards -- Andy
