Some hot plugging support exists out there in the wild for devices on
the ide bus. Is anyone working on support for them?
The two most likely devices are the pccard to ide adapters which allow
ata flash devices to plug into the ide bus. I have one which works so
long as I do not hot plug it. Also, there are the disk carriers which
accept a 3.5" drive, fit in a 5.25" bay, and allow the drive to be hot
plugged. Very useful for raid arrays.
