As David Brownell intuited, applying Dan Zink's patch got PCI
hotplugging working for me. Can we please get updated hotplug
release files placed on the http://linux-hotplug.sourceforge.net
site?
This includes:
The 3c575 now hotplugs and 3c59x gets loaded.
After the 3c59x driver loads, ifup runs and starts eth0
My Belkin BusPort Mobile hotplugs and usb-ohci loads.
Woohoo!
Oh yeah, this is using modutils 2.4.2.
Thanks, everyone, for your support and patience
while I muddled through this.
Miles
