Sometimes i get the exit status that says cannot lock serial port, and for quite some time now, often when i try to connect, it will pick up the dialtone, then hang up quickly, so i have to try to connect again.

For some reason, none of my usb stuff really works without the hotplug script, or did i do something wrong? i typed modprobe acm when i got into linux, but it won't start, unless i use hotplug script.
