Nick, My response to your email was (unfortunately) overly broad. While the NASA 512P systems are running a kernel based on 2.4.x, SLES 9, which is 2.6.5-based, has been certified on a 64p SGI Altix system (cf. http://developer.novell.com/yes/78980.htm). So it is possible to buy a supported 2.6 kernel from SuSE that will run your (up to) 64P Altix. -- Best Regards, Ray ----------------------------------------------- Ray Bryant 512-453-9679 (work) 512-507-7807 (cell) raybry@sgi.com raybry@austin.rr.com The box said: "Requires Windows 98 or better", so I installed Linux. -----------------------------------------------
