I don't know anything about the compile farms. It does appear that they
are silently disappearing.
About the multiple-precision arithmetic, you should talk to Torbjorn Granlund
if you haven't already. He has already done some GMP work for IA-64. He has
also been using compile farms, and may be able to help with that question also.
