The ia64 patch for v2.4.17 is now at
ftp://ftp.kernel.org/pub/linux/kernel/ports/ia64/v2.4/ in file:

	linux-2.4.17-ia64-011226.diff*

This is mostly a sync up with 2.4.17 and has few other changes (as far
as I recall, anyhow...).  The patch has been tested only on Big Sur,
but I don't expect any major problems with Lion (or HP simulator).
(Yeah, famous last words...).
