Subject: [Linux-ia64] Compiling kernel 2.4.21 on HP zx6000
Date: Thu, 19 Jun 2003 18:20:47 +0000 [thread overview]
Message-ID: <marc-linux-ia64-105604697305688@msgid-missing> (raw)
Dear Colleagues,
Has anybody ever succeeded in compiling kernel 2.4.21 over HP zx6000
workstations, running RedHat AW 2.1? The following error messages just poped
out, as attached in the end of this mail.
The gcc version is 3.1 downloaded from HP's support site. Is there
any prerequisite prior to compilation of the 2.4.21 kernel? Also, is the
2.96 series gcc enclosed in the original RedHat release capable of compiling
kernels? Thank you very much for your help.
