It appears to be SATA because that is the next message after the timeout during the boot cycle. I am still bisecting down to find the exact culprit. This is an i386 based system with nForce 4 chipset. There is one drive on SATA and one DVD burner on IDE1. 0000:00:00.0 Host bridge: nVidia Corporation: Unknown device 0071 (rev a3) Subsystem: Giga-byte Technology: Unknown device 5000 Control: I/O- Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- Status: Cap+ 66MHz+ UDF- FastB2B+ ParErr- DEVSEL=fast >TAbort- SERR- TAbort- SERR- TAbort- SERR- TAbort- SERR- TAbort- SERR- TAbort- SERR- TAbort- SERR- TAbort- SERR- TAbort- SERR- TAbort- SERR- TAbort- SERR- TAbort- SERR- TAbort- SERR- Reset- FastB2B- Capabilities: [40] Power Management version 2 Flags: PMEClk- DSI- D1- D2- AuxCurrent=0mA PME(D0+,D1+,D2+,D3hot+,D3cold+) Status: D0 PME-Enable- DSel=0 DScale=0 PME- Capabilities: [48] Message Signalled Interrupts: 64bit+ Queue=0/1 Enable+ Address: 00000000fee00000 Data: 40b9 Capabilities: [80] #10 [0141] 0000:00:09.0 RAM memory: nVidia Corporation: Unknown device 003f (rev a1) Subsystem: Giga-byte Technology: Unknown device 5001 Control: I/O- Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- Status: Cap+ 66MHz+ UDF- FastB2B+ ParErr- DEVSEL=fast >TAbort- SERR- TAbort- SERR- TAbort- SERR- TAbort- SERR- TAbort- SERR- TAbort- SERR- TAbort- SERR- TAbort- SERR- TAbort- SERR- TAbort- SERR- TAbort- SERR- Reset- FastB2B- 0000:00:13.0 Multimedia audio controller: nVidia Corporation MCP04 AC'97 Audio Controller (rev a1) Subsystem: Giga-byte Technology: Unknown device ae03 Control: I/O+ Mem+ BusMaster+ SpecCycle- MemWINV- VGASnoop- ParErr- Stepping- SERR- FastB2B- Status: Cap+ 66MHz+ UDF- FastB2B+ ParErr- DEVSEL=fast >TAbort- SERR- TAbort- SERR-
