Sorry for the delay in tackling this issue. The regression I see was introduced
between 2.6.24 and 2.6.25-rc1. I have not been able to narrow it down further
(yet) because the kernels I build using git bisect don't boot on my machine.
I'm currently trying to find a commit before -rc1 that does boot, but I thought
that I'd send an update.
