Distribution: debian etch/sid
Hardware Environment: HP LH-Pro, Dual PentiumPro 200
Software Environment: 
Problem Description: 
bootduration beliefs some hours (I press reset after 35 minutes)
boot-messages like "swapper not tainted kernel", "lost irq" and so on

Steps to reproduce:
booting with kernel 2.6.24.2 all O.K. - booting with 2.6.26.3 show always this
erros. irqpoll and noirqdebug not solve the problem.

Seems like an IRQ routing problem and not an IDE specific issue.

Please try 2.6.27-rc6 and also post dmesgs from good/bad kernels.

on 2.6.27-rc6 is the error too: The system come not up. Every few minutes I got
the message
hda lost interrupt
- that is all.

By using bootparameter noapic the system run, but the scsi-card (substantila in
the kernel) was not founded.

dmesg without kernel-option not available, because system not coming up
