Here we are ignoring the i2c transaction return errors.

Why disable and then enable? Didnt understand this.
Could we not check and disable?

Shubhrajyoti: your e-mail client is weird. it moves spaces around in
the output for no good reason. your replies made me think Michael's
original style was all screwed up until i looked at the original .c/.h
files on disk. not sure if there's something you could do to rectify
this ...

Hi Shubhrajyoti,
Well - it does something.
It prints in error in the very unlikely case that the read fails,
therefore it simplifies the code quite a bit.

Here you are right - however this is intended to be consistent with the
wrapper function used by the read.

What ever the user want. Typically the opposite of the setup callback.
Both functions are user supplied callbacks.

Yes - Like the comment states this should never happen.
And in case it does, there are still some valid keycodes that can be
processed.
Aborting would make things worse.

However the wakeup mechanism behind is machine dependant.
In addition enable/disable_irq and enable/disable_irq_wake serves
two completely different purposes.
