My concerns are:

1. I have a branch for xf86-input-synaptics that makes clickpads work as
they are meant to. It uses the buttonpad property to detect a clickpad.
I hope it will be merged for the next release, which is very soon.

2. I plan on pushing the clickpad stuff into Ubuntu Precise, which is
based on 3.2. We prefer to cherry-pick from mainline. If it's going into
3.3, we can wait until it gets there and cherry-pick. If not, then I can
manually get the patch applied. I just need to know which route to take.

I feel it should be pushed for 3.3. However, I have views that are far
different from some others on the list about when properties should be
added to the kernel.
