What is the status of LVM2 on RHEL 4? What about snapshots on RHEL 4?

My understanding for some time now has been:
- LVM2 works on RHEL4
- LVM2 snapshots are not yet reliable on RHEL4

Furthermore, I understand that snapshots are possibly going to be
fixed in Update 4.
