Hi,
i searched the arcives but did not find any hint.
I would like to compile a 2.2.18 kernel with a few security additions
(openwall + lids ...) and the new raid code and lvm.
unfortunately the patching of raid and lvm fails. I've tried to solve some
of the conficts manualiy but i'm not to confident on my handwork.
As I've read there should be a new beta soon (friday?) so I stopped
messing around with the kernel code for now ...
Does anyone alreadhe have patches for raid and lvm on 2.2.18 or can some
one provide them for the new beta?

If you read PATCHES/README I mention that we haven't done the new raid
patch for 2.2 + LVM. If you are will to do some testing for me I can
get a patch to you on Monday.

I believe Andrea Arcangeli has both LVM and new-raid patches in
his aa kernels

What kind of testing would you like?
I'd patch it into my kernel, add some more stuff (new ide, reiserfs,
LIDS, ow, LVM, RAID) and instll it onto my server to run 300GB+ of plain
LVM and 2x30GB mirrored LVM.

I just hope they dont eat my disks (i dont know how to make a backup of
300GB+)
I'll try to make a backup of my 30GB of valuable data ...
