No, I wasn't talking about Debian's package.  Debian don't presently have a 
Debian package for LVM 1.0.3, at least as far as I could tell.

I was referring to the actual source code, which I compiled myself.

Sorry, I realise now that mentioning Debian probably confused the issue.
