This section is of type SHT_NOTE. No attribute types are used. OpenBSD native executables usually contain a .note.openbsd.ident section to identify themselves, for the kernel to bypass any compatibility ELF binary emulation tests when loading the file. I no find " "Note Section" format described below." -- Best Regards, Yuri Kozlov -- To unsubscribe from this list: send the line "unsubscribe linux-man" in the body of a message to majordomo-u79uwXL29TY76Z2rM5mHXA@public.gmane.org More majordomo info at http://vger.kernel.org/majordomo-info.html ^ permalink raw reply [flat|nested] 2+ messages in thread

Sadly, neither do I. The Linux elf(5) man page seems to have come from the BSDs, and I see the same problem in the OpenBSD and FreeBSD man pages. My solution, not ideal, is to remove the words "described below", and that's what I have done for man-pages-3.25.
