Subject: fix for ascii.7
Date: Wed, 14 Oct 2026 07:24:12 +0000	[thread overview]

The patch below prevents groff from converting two consecutive spaces
to a single one after end-of-sentence characters in the ASCII
character table if frenchspacing is active (this is the default for
German, for example, thus affecting the German translation of
`ascii.7`, where I noticed the problem).

Maybe other pseudo-tables (i.e., tables not generated by `tbl`) are
affected in a similar way.
