Can't reproduce this.  The terminal running nc(1) isn't printing
anything.

/usr/bin/nc
alx@debian:~$ which nc | xargs realpath
/usr/bin/nc.openbsd
alx@debian:~$ dpkg -S /bin/nc.openbsd
netcat-openbsd: /bin/nc.openbsd
