Bug ID: 104221
Summary: strxfrm: not equivalent to strncpy
Product: Documentation
Version: unspecified
Hardware: All
OS: Linux
Status: NEW
Severity: normal
Priority: P1
Component: man-pages
Assignee: documentation_man-pages-ztI5WcYan/vQLgFONoPN62D2FQJk+8+b@public.gmane.org
Reporter: fweimer-H+wXaHxf7aLQT0dZR+AlfA@public.gmane.org
Regression: No
Version 3.81 says this:
=E2=80=9CIn the POSIX or C locales strxfrm() is equivalent to copying t=
he string with
strncpy(3).=E2=80=9D
This is a bit misleading because the behavior on truncation is unspecif=
ied for
strxfrm.
