I can buy a Twinhan 7021a Starbox II receiver locally. I am wondering
how well it is supported by Linux with the most recent kernels.
I've checked here
http://www.linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/DVB-S_USB_Devices
where it says it is a work in progress, but it doesn't give a date. Is
it still a work in progress ?
Thanks

The real USB2.0 version works.
Patrick.

Thanks, Patrick.
What do you mean by the "real USB2.0" version ? Is there a USB1.0
version ?
Do you know what size of picture it captures ?
Thanks

There is a USB1.1 version.

It is a DVB-S receiver box - no analog reception possible. It can deliver
the full MPEG2 transport stream to the PC which itself contains several tv
channel coded in MPEG2 - the size of picture there depends on the
broadcaster.
Patrick.
