Hello,

My dvb card (Hauppauge HVR-1100 - cx88) is running fine with kernels prior to
2.6.25. Unfortunately I lost my working .config file ... so i had to compile
the 2.6.26 kernel from scratch and my tv card does not work any more.
Is there any thing that i forgot to enable ?

Thank you in advance.

Regards

The dmesg command shows the following output :

Hi,
I still have the same problem with a "newer" kernel (2.6.26-git14).
Does anyone here know what it is wrong ? Is there any way to debug this
problem ?
Thank you.

It's easy enough to analyze:

If I'm reading everything right, it's a divide by 0 (RCX is 0) error in

linux/drivers/media/common/tuners/tuner-simple.c:simple_dvb_configure()

(a function called by simple_dvb_calc_regs() that the compiler must be
in-lining.)

Since the only variable divide in that function is

 div = ((frequency + t_params->iffreq) * 62500 + offset +
               tun->stepsize/2) / tun->stepsize;

I'll assume 'tun->stepsize' isn't initialized when this function is
called.

I don't have a fix right now. Maybe someone else can pick up the ball
and help. I've got personal errands to run today (I'm already late).

Regards,
Andy
