Thx a lot. It works fine. I'm voting for merge your tree to v4l-dvb.

me too

I can confirm that on our Russian dvb-linux forum there's only good reports about
http://mercurial.intuxication.org/hg/s2-liplianin from owners who have stb0899 and cx24116 based cards

@Igor
thanks a lot for your contribution

Hi Igor,

I tried your tree with my Pinnacle PCTV Sat HDTV Pro USB (PCTV452e) and it works with the modified szap.
Unfortunately my Terratec CinergyT2 doesn't work anymore. I can't load the modul because of many undefined symbols. So I reverted everything to multiproto and both devices are working again. What should I do?
Thanks
Dirk

Thanks Dominik, I found it out yesterday. The CinergyT2 is working fine now, but it is nearly impossible to use the PCTV452e with (an unmodified) kaffeine. It simply doesn't lock in more than 90% of my tests. The only channel that works sometimes is "Das Erste" and the lock takes appr. 1 minute.
So I reverted to multiproto again which works fine (except "NDR")

Hi!

Try this since Dominik's patch not included in Igor's repo, you should
get faster locks on all your channels.

hg clone -r 9263 http://mercurial.intuxication.org/hg/s2-liplianin
wget http://hem.passagen.se/faruks/3650/my_s2api_pctv452e.txt
cd s2-liplianin
patch -p1 < ../my_s2api_pctv452e.txt
make ; # there might be a few warnings.
cd v4l
insmod dvb-core.ko
insmod stb6100.ko verbose=0
insmod stb0899.ko verbose=0
insmod lnbp22.ko
insmod ttpci-eeprom.ko
insmod dvb-usb.ko
insmod dvb-usb-pctv452e.ko

Scanning with scan-s2 works but not all channels are found. Tested on
Astra 28.2 (839 channels found) and Astra 19.2 (896 channels found). On
the 28.2 I'm missing BBC 1 to 4 for example and on Astra 19.2 the Dutch
channels. This is probably not a problem of scan-s2 but the driver.

Zapping with szap-s2 works for the channels found by scan-s2. I get data
on vdr0 and it can be viewed by xine or mplayer. I can even get a lock
on "BBC London 1" with manual set settings, not found by scan-s2, but I
do not get any data on vdr0 device. This is logged in /var/log/messages

I have a rotor connected and it can be controlled by the normal diseqc
commands. I have my own application which worked with the old api and it
does still work. So I'm able to rotate it.

I can confirm that it partially works but the only problem for me is
that it does not find all the channels on the satellites.

Regards,

Michel.
