Hi...
I saw on this page...
<http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/DVB-T_USB_Devices>
...That I can contribute to the project by writing to this list.
Now, I don't have much knowledge about USB; I don't even have Linux (but I probably will within a few months).
I saw that some of the mentioned devices on the above page, are missing a picture.
So what I can do, is that I have a Zolid USB DVB-T Tuner "bought from Aldi - like they all are".
I've taken some pictures, cut them in Photoshop, scaled, saved as png and finally optimized them using pngout.
Sizes are: Approx. 2100x500 for the originals, 1024x500..600 for the large ones, 512x190..300 for medium-size, 128x51..80 for the smaller ones.
(Whoa, 5 hours work for 5 pictures!)
Note: This is only one device, it seems a little difficult to figure out which version it is, but as I have the original box and a USB-Probe dump, it might be possible to identify it fully.
What I can say, is that it uses the IT9135 chip.
VID/PID 0x048D/00x9135.
Descriptor Version Number is 0x0200.
Device MaxPacketSize is 64 (see below)
Device Version Number is 0x0200
It has two configurations, each configuration has 4 interfaces.
The first configuration's interfaces have a max packet size of 512
The second configuration's interfaces have a max packet size of 64.
Apart from that, the configurations match eachother.
-So my guess is that this is a v2 device.
When looking at the above mentioned page, and I search the table for 'Zolid', I find an entry saying "ITE Inc. Zolid Mini DVB-T Stick Version 2".
My box says "Mini USB DVB-T Tuner" and the markings on the device just says "SMART GROUP" "Made in Taiwan", "www.unisupport.net", "PS0712" and "05/2011".
(In fact, I bought exactly this device, because I believe this is the one that's listed here!)
...Now...Who wants those pictures ? :)
Love
Jens

I think you can quite safely upload those to the wiki. I'll admit, I
didn't know how to upload an image, but I referenced the image from the
document and thus getting a missing image link in the document. Clicking
the link allowed me to upload said missing picture.

Hi Oliver.
Thank you for your reply. I do think I need a little more guidance, though. ;)
I've been trying to figure out how to make just a simple change to a dot for the last hour, but always end up on the page saying that I do not have permission to edit 'this template'...
Do I need to be granted some editing rights to existing device entries ?
(I must admit that I find it a bit confusing when 'Edit' does not do what I expect, but there's probably a reason for that).
What I said below, about not having much knowledge of USB; it might have changed slightly. During the night, I've been making an application, which communicates with a USB-device I made (AVR), and it can turn on some LEDs and sometimes it can successfully receive a reply... But still, I am not an expert (not on Wiki either).

I assume you have created an account and can edit various pages;
I opened the DVB-T Usb page and clicked on the 'edit' icon to the right
of the Zolid mini dvb-t stick. I then jumped to the
zolid-mini-dvb-t-stick-v1 section on the Template:USB_Device_Data page.
There is a [edit] 'button' to the right of th title. This opens the
template 'table' for your dvice. Where it says
'pic=[[image:Mini.jpg|120px]] you can replace that with the filename of
your image.
If you haven't uploaded it yet, going back to the regular DVB-T USB
overview page should now show a missing picture. Clicking on that should
allow you to upload your image :)
Furthermore, you can make a wikilink from the device field to link to a
specific device page (or create one) to place more pictures. See for
example the device=[[ASUS_My_Cinema ...|My Cinema U3100 ...]] bit for
the Asus U3100 Mini.

I can do that too, no problem. I end up here:
<http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/Template:USB_Device_Data#zolid-mini-dvb-t-stick-v1>
> There is a [edit] 'button' to the right of th title.

Not on my end. The page I have now says...
---8<-----8<-----8<-----
"zolid-mini-dvb-t-stick-v1
The data for the device zolid-mini-dvb-t-stick-v1 is right here. You just can't see it because it is meant to be used in a template 'transclusion'. If you are logged in you can click on the [edit] link to the right to change the data for this device. If you are not logged in, you can click on the view source tab at the top of this page to at least see how data is stored here.
It's probably best if you open the edit link in a separate tab. That way you can use this tab to read the explanation of the syntax above or jump back to the place where you came from and see how your changes look there. (Don't forget that your browser cache or the wiki's rendering cache might need some time or persuasion to catch up with the new content.)"
----->8----->8----->8---
...And there are no clickable links there.
I have all ad-blockers turned off, and no custom/user CSS in my browser; also tried in Opera, no dice...
If, on the other hand, I scroll to the top of this page, and click the "View Source" tab, I get the following in the top of the new page:
---8<-----8<-----8<-----
"You do not have permission to edit this page, for the following reasons:
The action you have requested is limited to users in the group: Users.
You do not have permission to edit pages in the Template namespace.
You can view and copy the source of this page:"
----->8----->8----->8---

I guess this is supposed to happen, but it does not happen for me. Perhaps I need some access granted from somewhere or someone ?

I'll remember this for when I get the first part to work. :)

I have that too, if i'm not logged in :) if you are logged in, it should
work (with an active account). Try 'private session' or whatever you
have in your browser (ctrl-p top of my head in ff) and ensure you login.
If it still does not work, something else may be broken.

Is your account very new? You may not be authorised after all yet? I
don't know the answer then.

I've tried private browsing+flushing my cache+removing all cookies+starting the browser 'clean'.
I start by being 'not logged in'.
I open the devices-page, log in, click the icon to the right of the device, but still see the same page, as when you are not logged in.
> Is your account very new? You may not be authorised after all yet?
I believe this is probably where the problem is.
> I don't know the answer then.
I think the answer will be for me to be a little more patient, and wait until I am fully authorized. ;)
Thanks for your guidance. Now I know what to do, when I'm allowed to do it. =)

Hi Oliver (and who else might be interested)
Regarding my posts about contributing to the list of devices on the page...
<http://linuxtv.org/wiki/index.php/DVB-T_USB_Devices>
... I created an account, so that I could add an image of the device.
Unfortunately, the Wiki didn't want me to do this; I do not know exactly why.
Oliver has been kind enough to try and help me (thank you for your patience!), but I still could not succeed in adding the picture.
On Mon, 08 Oct 2012 14:22:11 +0200, Oliver Schinagl wrote:

I'll try taking a different approach. I've placed the pictures in 3 different (speed-optimized) sizes. They're all in quite good quality, as I've cleaned them before I scaled them down.
<http://zolid.gpio.dk/>
-So if anyone, who is able to change the Wiki, feels like putting them up, please feel free. I claim no rights to the pictures, except from that I still would like to be able to use them myself if need be. ;)
The entry I was thinking about adding the picture to, is called "zolid-mini-dvb-t-stick-v2", however, I am not completely sure if /that/ is how the mentioned device actually looks, because there are no "HDTV USB DVB-T" markings on mine; however, mine is a version 2.
