Well, testing camera drivers without userspace support is not really possible. Yes, you can use mplayer to display the data in "preview" mode, and yavta to adjust focus/exposure... But that's really hard/slow and preview quality does not tell you much about quality of final photo. So... yes, I'd like to see this in.
