This series adds CAMSS support for MSM8939.
It's mostly identical to MSM8916, except for some clocks
and an additional CSI.
To fix black stripes across sensor output, and garbage in
CSID TPG output, 2 VFE VBIF register settings are needed.
So the 1st patch adds helper functions to do just that.
Patch 1: adds helper for VFE VBIF settings
Patch 2: adds CAMSS_8x39 version in CAMSS driver
Patch 3: documents qcom,msm8939-camss DT bindings
Patch 4: adds camss and cci in msm8939.dtsi

Some devices need writing values to VFE VBIF registers.
Add helper functions to do this.

From: Vincent Knecht <vincent.knecht@mailoo.org>
The camera subsystem for the MSM8939 is the same as MSM8916 except with
3 CSID instead of 2, and some higher clock rates.
As a quirk, this SoC needs writing values to 2 VFE VBIF registers
(see downstream msm8939-camera.dtsi vbif-{regs,settings} properties).
This fixes black stripes across sensor and garbage in CSID TPG outputs.
Add support for the MSM8939 camera subsystem.

Please sort the list alphanumerically, accorting to the ASCII character set
the underscore symbol precedes lower case letters.

Please specify the wanted voltage level in the description, due to
the example below I would expect it's 2.8V.

There was a preceding and partially reviewed changeset published on
linux-media [1] before v1 of the MSM8939 platform support in CAMSS,
due to a merge conflict this platform changeset should be rebased IMHO.

Well, this particular dt binding is known to be imperfect, for instance
see one of the series with a number of fix-ups:
https://lore.kernel.org/all/20250502204142.2064496-1-vladimir.zapolskiy@linaro.org/
So, apparently the qcom,x1e80100-camss bindings shall be fixed in the given
aspect as well before the first .dtsi/.dts user of it appears.
> I guess this means I should also mod the DTSI from patch 4 ?
> Should I also drop R-b tags ?
I'm not sure about any granted Reviewed-by tags, this question should be
addressed to the persons who gave the tags...
The formal process says this [1]:
Both Tested-by and Reviewed-by tags, once received on mailing list from tester
or reviewer, should be added by author to the applicable patches when sending
next versions. However if the patch has changed substantially in following
version, these tags might not be applicable anymore and thus should be removed.
Usually removal of someone's Tested-by or Reviewed-by tags should be mentioned
in the patch changelog (after the '---' separator).
I would say the fixes should not be considered as substantial changes.

I think I will take 8939, plus any of the other now 3 SoCs waiting to be
merged with RBs.
Bindings consistent with the last 10 years can go ahead. Its not
reasonable or in the interests of the community and developers to gate
any further.
