I have this card and have moved from windows to Ubuntu 8.04 and it does
not work.

 

What can I do to help get this card working for me and others?

Start by searching the mailing lists and reading the wiki's at linuxtv.org.

Do your research then post a message detailing it to the mailing list. 
Describe your findings and make an assessment.

That would help other people.
