[linux-dvb] S2API - More updates

Hi,

I merged patches from Igor today, so the S2API tree has five S2 devices 
in total.

HVR4000 S/S2 card
HVR4000LITE (Also known as the S2 Lite) S/S2 card
TeVii S460 S/S2 card
TeVii S650 S2 card
DvbWorld DVB-S/S2 USB2.0 S/S2

I also have some changes I'd like to merge from Darron Broad over the 
next few days, specifically for the CX24116 demod.

In terms of the core API suggestions, I'm going to rationalize the 
comments and feedback tonight and tomorrow so you should start to see 
some discussion being generated.

... and hopefully some of the smaller patches this evening also over the 
next 48hrs.

do you mean old (from 2007 year) Darron's changes ? or new ?

These are patches that Darron has had for weeks, if not months, that 
need to be verified and merged into the S2API tree.

Old patches I guess.

and loaded modules with scripts/rmmod load which shows :

The S2API is changing rapidly. Over the last few days the API has been 
refined and the message are being changed / finalized. It's actually 
close to to it's final shape after last nights patches. I probably still 
have a few bugs too! :)

Igor is doing a great job with szap-2 but he's also not quite up to date 
with the current tree, the interfaces on szap-s2 will not match the 
current s2api tree). Let's make sure Igor has caught up with last nights 
changes before you try satellite tuning again.

Recap: The latest version of tune.c (currently 0.0.5 at 
steventoth.net/linux/s2) is the most up to date and contains example 
code for how to tune the API. Igor is taking this code and patching the 
changes into szap-s2 on a regular basis.

As today progresses I'll be collecting feedback on todays patches, if we 
have new bugs then expect more patches and fixes this evening.

Tere is not much changes, as current S2API changes little affected szap-s2.
Remember, old API progs works well with S2API and szap-s2 is only a helper to 
lock DVB-S2 channels.

I've made some frontend.h changes to the tree today, which change some 
definitions and wil cause this tool to fail. I expect to make more this 
evening.

Everyone,

If you want to test szap-s2, be sure to pull the tree prior to todays 
changes, or wait until we can complete frontend.h changes and update the 
userland tools again.

Hi,

History update: MPEG initialization in cx24116.

Adjust MPEG initialization in cx24116 in order to accomodate different
MPEG CLK position and polarity in different cards. For example, HVR4000
uses 0x02 value, but DvbWorld & TeVii USB cards uses 0x01. Without it MPEG
stream was broken on that cards for symbol rates > 30000 kSyms/s.

History update: MPEG initialization in cx24116.

Adjust MPEG initialization in cx24116 in order to accomodate different
MPEG CLK position and polarity in different cards. For example, HVR4000
uses 0x02 value, but DvbWorld & TeVii USB cards uses 0x01. Without it MPEG
stream was broken on that cards for symbol rates > 30000 kSyms/s.
