Hello,
I bought the TV card in the object, it is a PCI hybrid TV-card, both
analogue and DVB-T.
I bought it, because on the manufacturer site they said they develop a
linux driver, unfortunately when I downloaded the driver (which claims
to be for fedora) I found the whole V4L tree to be compiled.
By the way, I tried to compiled it but it failed 'because it looked for
the 2.6.19 kernel sources while I'm on Ubuntu Intrepid with a 2.6.27.
So I downloaded the v4l tree from HG, compiled and installed it, but
this time was the firmware that was missing. I followed the instruction
to get the firmware for the xc3028 from here
> http://www.steventoth.net/linux/xc5000/HVR-12x0-14x0-17x0_1_25_25271_WHQL.zip
and everything seemed to be perfect... but the tuner wasn't able to
detect anything.
I tried "w_scan", since there was not a freq table for my town, but it
didn't find anything and dmesg reported the following error repeated:
> [ 4982.520836] zl10353: write to reg 6c failed (err = -6)!
> [ 4982.521593] zl10353: write to reg 6d failed (err = -6)!

I also tried scantv for analogue broadcast, but there wat a sign of the
analogue tuner work, too. And the output of dmesg this time was the
following

While I was trying to make the card work, I found a peculiar note in the
NotOnlyTV faq that says that the driver they provide only works on
Fedora 6.0.
Since Fedora 6.0 is an "old" distro (Fedora is now at the 10th revision)
and since on ubuntu intrepid, the distro I'm using, the 2.6.19 kernel
isn't available, I wondered if and how I could manage to apply the
modifications they did to the main tree to make the driver work on more
recent kernels and if those modifications could be imported in the main
tree.
I attach the link to the V4l tree NOT provide is someone more expert
than me wants have a look.
http://www.notonlytv.net/download/driver/lv3hlv3afedora.rar
And this is their faq (not very usefull indeed)
http://www.notonlytv.net/download/faq/faq_lv3h.pdf
Last thing, how can I know if someone is working on that card or on the
chipset that card uses?

Some news from my LV3H
1) after rebuilding the v4l from the main tree the analog tuner seems to
be working, What I mean is thata tvtime is able to scan channels and to
find them.
2) unfortunately there's no audio, in any way. If I connect the audio
out to the audio of my sblive! I only get noise. If I try to send the
output of the connexant audio device to the sblive! I always get only noise.
3) no news for the zl10353 driver, which keeps on giving the same error
>> [ 4982.520836] zl10353: write to reg 6c failed (err = -6)!
I don't know if anyone is interested in this report and I don't even
know if I'm writing to the right mailing list.
Please let me know what I shoul post to get help, if it is possible to
get help :-)
