Hi...
Sorry to hear you still have problems - but I've already emailed just
about everything I know. I have had problems with tuner cards as well.
I just removed a Kworld 120 from my mythtv box and will probably
never try using it as a TV tuner again (I might use it to sample video -
but I will not invest any more time into the TV tuner part of the
card!). I'll stick with my original suggestion: Get a well supported
card - it will save you lots of time and hair pulling.

Harol,
you have misunderstood -- your card is NOT supported. Your device does
not use one of the PCI bridges supported by the bttv driver . Your card
uses the Theater 550 Pro as its PCI bridge (as well as for some other
functions; A/V decoding, MPEG2 encoding) , and there is no driver for
that IC; and, consequently, no support for your card.
As an FYI, look again at the bttv card list and you will see that the
subsystem ID for entry 63 is different from your own card (which you
will see listed above in the output of lspci you generated;
specifically:[1002:a346]). Also take note of the pertinent information
that Stuart previously provided and which I have included above in the
quotation.

ATI has been less than cooperative in this area. And now that the
division that makes the Theatre chipsets has been sold to Broadcom,
it's safe to support is not going to be coming for their cards anytime
soon (based on the discussions I've had with them).
Dedicated capture cards have gotten dirt cheap, so if you want to
watch TV under Linux your best bet is to get a supported device.
